Use of the TWIYO app and a paid subscription (Premium or Family).
Last updated: June 2026
The TWIYO app and website twiyo.app are offered by TYGA-Liberty v.o.f. (see company details below). TWIYO is a trade name/product of this company.
TWIYO is an educational and communication app (PWA) for people who find speaking difficult and their parents/caregivers/supporters. Free includes letters, counting, and managing words (up to 25). Premium features (including word-image game, AAC, speller, progress, unlimited custom words) are available after a free trial and/or a paid subscription.
You use the app at your own responsibility. TWIYO is not a medically certified device and does not replace professional medical or speech therapy advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Images and audio you add stay on your device (privacy-first).
Misuse (e.g. reverse engineering, overloading servers, illegal content) is not allowed. We may change the app or access for maintenance or security.
Premium and Family are offered as automatically renewing subscriptions via Stripe. All paid plans include the same Premium features (including word-image game, AAC, speller, progress, unlimited custom words). Prices at checkout: → Premium (1 device at a time): €4.99 per month (monthly) or €54 per year (yearly). → Family (3 devices at a time): €7.99 per month (monthly) or €79 per year (yearly). Prices include VAT where applicable. The current price and chosen plan are shown on the subscribe page (/subscribe) before payment.
Free trial: 14 days of Premium without payment details. You can extend once by 14 extra days (e.g. to try AAC calmly). After that, Premium features lock again unless you start a paid subscription.
Payment is processed by Stripe. After successful payment you return to the app; Premium access is linked to your Stripe customer record and this device (license). On additional devices, restore the subscription with the same Stripe email (Parent settings → Restore subscription), within your plan’s license limit.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel before each renewal via the Stripe customer portal; Stripe emails invoices.
Device licenses: Premium includes one simultaneously active device per subscription; Family includes three. If the limit is reached, release a license on another device first (Parent settings → Release license on this device) before restoring on a new one. Words, photos, and AAC content are not automatically synced via our servers; you can download a backup and merge or replace all on another device (Parent settings → Backup). Organizations with multiple licenses and cloud sync arrange this separately via quote (/professionals).
Monthly subscription: you may cancel every month. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Until then Premium stays active; no further monthly charge is made after you cancel.
Yearly subscription: you may cancel; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current year. Premium remains active until that date.
Cancel via Parent settings → Manage or cancel subscription (Stripe customer portal), or via the subscribe page if you are already a subscriber. The monthly plan has no minimum term.
Refunds: billing periods that have already started are generally not refunded pro rata, except where the law requires otherwise. For technical issues, contact us via the contact form.
If you are a consumer, you generally have a 14-day cooling-off period after purchasing a paid subscription (Premium or Family) at a distance.
Because Premium access activates immediately after payment, you expressly agree at checkout to immediate delivery of the digital service. Your right of withdrawal then ends once the service has started, where the law allows.
To use your cooling-off period before Premium access has started, contact us within 14 days at twiyo.app/contact with your order details.
These terms are governed by Dutch law where consumer law permits. We aim to resolve disputes by mutual agreement first.
Questions about subscriptions or these terms: use the contact form at twiyo.app/contact.
Privacy: see twiyo.app/privacy. You may also contact your data protection authority.
