All personal images, voice recordings, and data stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded to the cloud. Your photos and progress remain private and under your control.
Not just generic pictures: recognizable photos, your own voice on words, a personal welcome with your child's name, and even your own celebration sound when a game finishes. Everything stays locally on your tablet or phone.
Photograph “grandpa”, the school bag, or a stuffed animal. Pick a category — then the word appears in the word-image game; with Premium you can also put it on the AAC board via “Also on communication board”.
For custom words (Premium): record the label and “Where is the …?”. Your child hears your voice — offline after recording. On AAC you use phonetic pronunciation.
Enter a first name for a large welcome at the top. Record your own celebration sound and photo for when a game finishes — “Great job, Emma!” instead of the default cheer.
A speech device (AAC aid) helps people who cannot or struggle to speak express themselves. With TWIYO's communication board, users combine words, images, and categories — the app speaks them aloud. Wishes, needs, and emotions become easier to communicate.
For many families, TWIYO can be an accessible and affordable alternative to start communicating at home. Which solution fits best differs per person. TWIYO is not a medically certified device and does not replace professional advice from a speech therapist or doctor.
Yes, mostly. Letters, counting, the word-image game, managing words, and (with Premium) AAC and your recordings work offline after the first load. Premium checks online occasionally whether your subscription is still active.
Yes. Open the app → gear icon (parent panel) → “Words & images” tab → add a word. Take a photo with the camera, pick a file from your phone, or search for a free image. Pick a category so the word appears in the word-image game (free up to 10 custom words). Photos stay on your device — never in the cloud. With Premium you can check “Also on communication board (AAC)” and pick a tab — then the word also appears as a tile on the AAC board.
Yes. TWIYO was developed from experience with a non-verbal child with autism. The app offers structure, visual support, and your own photos — many parents use TWIYO at home or alongside speech therapy.
TWIYO works on any device with a modern browser: iPads, Android tablets, iPhones, Android phones, laptops, and desktops. It's optimized for tablets but works everywhere.
Upload photos from home, record your voice on words, show your child's name prominently, and replace the celebration sound after a game (Premium). Privacy-first: everything stays on your device.
